That ain't the way I hear'd it!

Some time ago I learned to use my ears and not my eyes to entertain myself. How'd I do it? I was checking out the posts in alt.binaries.sounds.mp3 when I happened to look down the list of available groups. So, what did I find? Well, I found a new hobby. Collecting old time radio programs. I haven't had much time to even think about OTR since returning to school, but I think alt.binaries.sounds.radio.oldtime is a great place to spend my free time.

What got me hooked on these shows? Fibber McGee and Molly for one. But, as they say, "It's all good".

I'm too young to have ever heard most, heck, pretty much all of these fine shows on their first airing, but I've had no problem falling deep into the plots of these old programs. You can find all the classics in the newsgroup. Superman, Dick Tracy, Fibber McGee, The Shadow, The Whistler, and the list goes on and on and on.

If you're thinking this is your cup of tea, read the A.B.S.R.O FAQ. Even if you're not new to Usenet, you just might learn something. It's better to start off on the right foot than download what looks like a bunch of uselesss jibberish.
